FAQs

Is there cap, or limited number of registrations allowed for this event?

Yes!  Given the physical limitations on stage, the registrations have been capped at 60 players.  Registrations beyond this number will be temporarily accepted, and placed on a wait list until we can further asses based on instrumentation needs, size of sections, and space available on stage.  We will do our best to find a space for you!

Is there minimum age requirements to enter the event?

The event is recommended for adults, however high school students are more than welcome to attend provided they are of legal age, and/or accompanied by a parent.

Is there a dress code required for the weekend?

Saturday Rehearsal: We encourage members to wear their summer/informal band golf shirt for the Saturday rehearsal as a way of sharing which band you regularly perform with.   This is completely optional.  Outside of this there is no dress code required other than comfortable and casual attire.

Sunday Concert:  We ask that members wear Black Dress Shirt / Blouse, Black Pants, Black Socks, and Black closed toe dress shoes (no running shoes please).  No ties, bowties, or jackets required.

Can I register as a member of CBA-Ontario?

Members who are currently an individual member of CBA-Ontario, or belong to a member ensemble of CBA-Ontario in good standing can register for our events as a 'CBA-Ontario Member' ($35).  Check here to see if your band has renewed their membership, making you eligible for our discounted membership rates.

What do I bring into the event?

  • Your Instrument with all accessories, mutes, tuners, and accessories
  • Instrument stands
  • Pencil
  • Stand Light (just in case!)
  • A refillable water bottle, or coffee mug (water stations are available throughout the buildling)
  • Your Band Golf Shirt for the Saturday Rehearsal (not mandatory)
  • Copy/print of your registration (for online registrants)

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

email us at info@cba-ontario.ca

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes please!

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes.  In many instances one person will register for multiple participants under one name.  So long as you bring a copy of your 'ticket', you will be able to participate at the event.

I'm not certain yet if I can attend.  Can I register on the day of the event?

Yes.  In most cases, we accept walk-ins who register on the Saturday morning.  In the rarest of occasions, our rehearsal or performance space limits the number of participants we can include.  In such cases, we will post any registration limitations and closures on our website.
